A Glaswegian comedian, artists, Wikipedia, searching for info on the web, “learning is fun” and serendipity

This is a post on one of my fave subjects - spooky coincidences and serendipity in my online or real life or both lives.

There are many themes in this post: observation, relationships, learning is fun, Wikipedia, distracted web searching/ surfing, making connections, joining the dots, ADD, New York, art galleries, being a philistine etc ...

My eldest and I howled with laughter at a Kevin Bridges (Glaswegian) comedy show broadcast on the BBC last Christmas.

Two related clips from that show were worthy of a post in their own right … (note these clips contain lots of bad language, apologies in advance .. also the video clip (not put up by me) is a poor display edit) ...

This was the first time I had heard of Diego Rivera ….

(for those into new tools, I found the loopvideos.com site that allows you to send a link to just play a section of a YouTube video, admittedly on loop)

Time then moves on 10 or so weeks ...

After posting my epic "Who is Simon?" post last Saturday, this exchange with Lesley happened in the FB WOL group:

Frida Kahlo FB chat

In the middle of that exchange I Google-ed Frida Kahlo who had been mentioned and to my amazement (well, not really, this happens to me frequently!), I found this in her Wikipedia entry ...

Diegio mentioned

... and closing this post off I found this documentary. * Simon goes learning about Mexican artists … Winking smile  *

I still get a buzz each time this happens to me - love co-incidences, serendipity etc ... love it When Two (of my) Worlds Collide ...

PS: Kevin does a classic of pretending to be the Greek Finance Minister in a con call with Angela Markel explaining, via “quoting” Socrates, that the EU will not be getting their money back. If there is public demand, I can post that ….
